Stamp Keepers Storage System by Inque Boutique

I've been meaning to share some pictures of the new stamp storage system my mom picked up for me the other day :)  They are called "Stamp Keepers" and are by "Inque Boutique".   They are thin, "acid free" (which is very important) clam shell containers that are designed to fit in a three ring binder.  They come in two different sizes 8 1/2 X 11 and 12 x 12.  The ones my mom got me are the 8 1/2 x 11.

This picture shows you how thin they are.  This is five of them stacked together-

Here's a pic that shows you how many stamps you can fit in them.  These are my Inque Boutique stamps and they stick right to the clam shell.  The "Stamp Keepers" also work well if you use Aleene's Tack-It Over and Over for your unmounted rubber stamps.  Unmounted stamps on cling foam would not fit well in them because of the extra thickness.  For unmounted rubber stamps on E-Z Mount/cling foam, I would suggest using these acrylic boxes which come in two sizes, CD and Long

I also store my clear stamps in them. I keep the stamps on the printed image sheets (what's the correct name for those anyway :)  and then stick the back side of the stamps to the clam shell.  One of the great things about these is that I can easily fit my larger stamp sets in them.

Lastly, seeing I was outside snapping pics, here's one of my blue hydrangeas :)

If you have any other questions about them, just let me know and I will try to help you out!

Have a great day and happy stamping :)

Color Throwdown #1

Oh my gosh... I am totally addicted to stamping!! I drove all the way from Maine to New Hampshire today just so I could get my stamping stuff.  Partly because I have several assignments due, but also because I saw so many beautiful cards using the Color Throwdown challenge that I couldn't take it anymore and had to create something!!  Please tell me I am not the only one who do something like this :)

Actually I'm glad I did because I had a big box of Odd Bird Planet stuff sitting in my driveway :)  I ordered one of the Lime Tart kits that Johanna is now offering through her on-line store.  It used to be that they were only available in Australia and every month I would drool over the design teams projects wishing it wasn't so expensive to have one come to the US. Now that's changed and I can order them through Odd Bird Planet.  I'm pretty happy about it because I really dig kits :)

Here's a pic of the kit I got, the "Half Tart"

So, let me you tell you about my card now :)

The stamps are from two Inque Boutique sets I got from the Purple Turtle Stamp Shoppe called "Isn't it Romantic" and Stephanie Barnard - Mini - Thank You.   I took a photograph of the stamps so you could see what they look like.  The flourish on the left side of the picture is the engraved rubber side of the stamps and the flower, leaf and dots show the reverse side which has the printed image and sticks onto your acrylic block.  Very cool.

More Inque Boutique

Here's a little 3x3 note I made yesterday.  I love how it came out :)  The fun images are from the "Love Grows" and "Mini - Bouquet" set by Inque Boutique.  The sets have a similar style so I thought it would be nice to have them both so I could use them interchangeably.

The red hearts are stamped with "Warm Red" Colorbox ink, the green with "Tea Leaves" by Versamagic and the white with "Moonlight White" by Brilliance.  All must have colors in my opinion :)  You can see they all stamp nicely on the Kraft cardstock.  This is one one of the reasons why I like having chalk and pigment inks.  The sentiment was just cut out with scissors.  I was trying to go for a playful/whimsical look.  The white scallops were made with the Fiskars "Threading Water Border Punch".

I hope you are all having a good Monday.  Later on, I have a dentist appointment (thrilling, lol) and then my husband and I are looking at another house in Newfields NH.  We are still in the process of moving but haven't found anything yet.

Be sure to stop by The Purple Turtle Stamp Shoppe today because it's the last day for the 20% off and shipping specials.  They have a huge selection of papercrafting goodies so check them out :)

Happy Stamping!

I also made a card to celebrate which I just love :)  It's one of those cards that when you're done, you can't believe that everything came together so nicely.  It only happens once in a while for me, but when it does I'm as happy as can be!

The flower is from the Inque Boutiqe set Floradoodles and I stamped it with Versamagic Tea Leaves ink.  After it dried for a minute I carefully cut it out and then started rummaging through my button stash for something to match.  The thankful image is from the Stephanie Barnard - Mini -Thank You set and it's stamped with Tempting Turquoise on coordinating cardstock.  The tag was a little long for my liking so I pierced the end of it my SU! paper piercing template.  I think it gives it a nice little extra touch :)

Ok wow, I'm chatty today :)  Is it helpful for me to describe my process making the card?? If it is let me know and I will try to do it more often.

Have you tried these stamps yet?  This is my first time and I really like them.  The image is actually printed on the sticky part of the rubber so you can see it through the acrylic block and gage where to place the stamp.  I just think that is so clever!!  For example, I used five different stamps to create the focal image on this card and it was super easy, I didn't have to use a stamp-a-ma-jig.  I also like that the rubber comes in all kinds of fun colors :)  So far I've seen pink, yellow, purple and green!!

If you'd like to check them out, here's some links to the sets I used.  I also got the cute "Love Grows" set that Heidi used in the atc swap.  I can't wait to give it a try :)
